Ambulance Service

 
 

The Ambulance Service operated by Hamad Medical Corporation is Qatars national medical emergency services group, the Service provides a wide range of responsive solutions to serious life threatening incidents, patient transports, mobile healthcare and emergency booking management.

The project was to develop and implement a new identity, a distinctive visual solution to separate it other local private services, the identity would be part of the HMC brand and visually include the highly visible emergency service features and standards.

 
 
 
 

Emergency Vehicles

The Ambulance Service operates a large land based fleet of vehicles, a key element of the new brand was to create a flexible kit of high visibility markings and graphics to be applied to all different vehicle types. Key areas for branding and essential information for each vehicle were identified.

 
 
 
 

The range of vehicles operated by the ambulance service increases as corporation expands, new markings are developed for each new vehicle using the most up to date reflective materials, vinyls and paint finishes.

 
 
 
 
 

Lifeflight Service

The Lifeflight service is the flying division of the ambulance service, the branding was developed as a sub-brand to sit within the ambulance service and Hamad Medical Corporation master brand.

 
 
 
 

The new fleet of AgustaWestland helicopters were incorporated in to the branding scheme, applied vinyls are not suitable for helicopters so a metallic paint finish was developed, there was a lot of consultation with the pilots to ensure no visual interference when operating the helicopters.

 
 
 
 

A bespoke set of branded uniforms and badges were developed for the flying service and incorporated in to the Ambulance Service hierarchy, the LifeFlight wings were developed as the operations can be international and a distinctive visual airborne reference was needed.

 
 
 
 

Helecopter branding was fitted to the limited flat surface areas, away from the operation features, the large chevron markings were developed to be simpler and visually bold from a distance.

Ambulance Service Brand

The Ambulance Service brand was developed within the HMC master brand, a full set of guidelines with assets was developed for vehicles, environmental, digital and print. The service is mainly patient facing and was designed to communicate clearly be professional and ultimately build trust within Qatar.

 
 
 
 

Many digital and print projects were completed during brand and asset development, Hamad Medical Corporations in-house design department continues to develop and produce work with the guidelines provided.
